Along the coastal low country of South Carolina one of the most common plants on the landscape is the palmetto. These unique plants with large fronds seem to try to block you from entering the jungle like landscape of the low country. Their long points reach out like swords almost daring you to explore further into the humid, jungle-like landscape. As a photographer I am fascinated by their lines and structure.
